STRUCTURAL STEEL & ROOFING

Structural work is where welding stops being cosmetic. A truss that holds a roof, a column that carries a floor, a canopy that has to stay put in a storm — these fail in ways that matter, so joint preparation, penetration and inspection are not optional extras. We fabricate in the workshop and erect on site.

WHAT WE BUILD

  • Roof trusses and purlins
  • Steel columns, beams and portal frames
  • Mezzanine floors and industrial platforms
  • Metal roofing and re-roofing
  • Canopies, carports and walkway covers
  • Pergolas and shade structures

MATERIALS WE USE

Structural mild steel

Angle, channel, I-section and box section sized to the span and load.

Galvanised sheet

For roofing and cladding where the surface is exposed and unpainted.

High-tensile alloys

Where the load case calls for more strength than plain mild steel gives.

QUESTIONS WE GET ASKED

Do you work from engineer drawings?

Yes, and for anything genuinely load-bearing we prefer to. Bring the drawings and we will fabricate to them. Where there are no drawings we will tell you plainly if we think the span or section needs an engineer to sign it off rather than guessing.

How do you check a structural weld?

Visually and systematically — undercut, penetration, porosity and profile at every joint before anything is painted. Paint hides a bad weld beautifully, which is why inspection happens first.

Can you erect on site as well as fabricate?

Yes. We bring equipment to construction sites, warehouses and industrial facilities across Kigali for erection and on-site welding. We will need to confirm power supply, access and clearance before the visit.

How long does a structural job take?

Large or multi-phase structural work runs 2–6 weeks. We give an accurate timeline with the quote and commit to it — the variables are usually material availability and site readiness rather than our workshop.
